AvAtAr Inspired

Happy Saturday all!

After I saw Avatar in 3D, I really felt inspired by all the amazing CGI characters and the overall beauty of the planet of Pandora. I thought it would be fun to try it out in another medium- makeup! Here are the results:
For this look, I used mostly MAC Pro products, including Blue and White Chromacakes, matte Dark and Sky Blue pigments, Vanilla pigment, 2 sets of lashes, Fascinating eye kohl, Light Blue glitter, Face & Body Mixing Medium, Water Based MM,  lots of Freshwater eyeshadow, Stone lipliner and Pas De Deux lipglass.

Black & Bling 40th Bday Bash

Last weekend, I had the lovely opportunity to do makeup for Connie's 40th birthday party. The birthday girl's theme was "Black & Bling" - everyone wore black with big gaudy jewelry and trinkets. This look was created with Studio Fix Fluid Foundation (the LOVE of my life).

Eyes were created using MAC's Fluidline in Macroviolet as a base, Brule and Vanilla pigment on the browbone, Copper Metal pigment and Intoxicate eyeshadows on the lid and crease. I added some glam lashes inspired by old Hollywood starlets.

OPI Presents Alice In Wonderland Nail Lacquer!

Ok, let me start off by saying my heart started palpitating and my fingers started trembling when I read about this. My favorite nail company is coming out with FOUR nail colors for the release of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. and TWO of the polishes have glitter in them. You might as well lock me up in a Chanel store with Johnny Depp and 18 bars of chocolate! I went particularly bananas over the shade below called "Mad As A Hatter"

Viva Los Doyers!

Happy New Year everyone! After quite a slow winter season (thank you, economy) things have started to pick up around here. I am excited to say I already have bookings through June 2010! If you are interested in booking my services for an upcoming event, please don't hestitate, as spots are starting to fill up quickly. I am available weekends (as well as weekdays, if you let me know  in advance.)

I CANNOT wait until this weather starts warming up so we can hit up some more DODGER GAMES! If you know me, you know I am in love with anything having to do with Los Angeles, and baseball teams are no different. Last summer, I decked out for the games in my finest Dodger blue, including eye makeup and glitter. Yes, your girl does NOT care! Any excuse to rock some fierce eye shadow and I'm there. Can't wait to scare the Doyer fans again this season with some ferosh eyes! haha

The look below was created with Freshwater, Deep Truth, and Coral eyeshadows, Sea Me shadestick, Fascinating eye kohl and Vanilla pigment. All MAC products, of course!
